The COPC Program provides funds to help institutions of higher learning form or expand centers for applied research and outreach to communities and neighborhoods. This publication was developed as a resource for COPC grantees. Descriptions are provided for the following foundations and trusts: American Express Foundation, AT&T Foundation, Bristol Myers-Squibb Foundation, Jessie P. Cox Charitable Trust, Ford Motor Company Fund, General Motors Foundation, Inc., Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Joyce Foundation, W. K. Kellogg Foundation, Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Pew Charitable Trust, Prudential Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, US West Foundation, and DeWitt Wallace-Reader's Digest Fund, Inc. For each fund, the description includes contact information, purpose and activities, limitations, and examples of COPC-related funding. A subject index is also provided with entries for community development, economic development, education (K-12), environment, health, job training, and leadership. (JLS)
