This instructor guide contains 20 laboratory activities for grades 9-10 Agricultural Science I-II classes. The activities are cross-referenced to Missouri Core Competencies and Key Skills. The activities are organized into the following areas: introductory (microscope use); animal nutrition (absorption of nutrients, bacteria and disease, enzyme digestion, micotoxins); animal breeding (artificial insemination, DNA extraction, genetics, sperm motility); poultry (embryology); plant and crop science (germination, plant taxonomy, water quality); plant science (growth regulators, herbicides, photosynthesis, tropism, tissue culturing); and crop science (fermentation, hydroponics). The instructor's guide contains an organizational chart that coordinates each activity with agricultural science competencies, science competencies, preparation and class time, and materials/equipment needed; 52 references and materials; instructor notes; and lab equipment illustrations.
