Cypress College Statistical Enrollment Report, Spring Semester 1995.

Designed to assist California's Cypress College in planning, marketing, recruitment, and retention efforts, this report provides data tables on the demographics of students enrolled in the spring 1995 semester. Tables are provided for the following areas: enrollment history for spring semesters, 1984-94; registration by admission classification; active enrollment by sex; and students' degree objectives, class standing, full- or part-time status, semester units taken, age, ethnicity, citizenship status, tuition status, veteran status, high school graduation status, last high school attended by county, last college attended, year of graduation from high school, and residence by zip code. Highlighted findings include the following: (1) total enrollment for spring 1995 was 13,265, a decrease of 7.8% from the spring 1994 enrollment of 14,382; (2) among enrollees who stated their gender in spring 1995, 5,783 were male and 7,435 were female; (3) 5,413 students indicated an educational objective of transferring with an associate's degree, while 1,016 indicated that they sought to transfer without an associate's degree; (4) 4,546 students were attending full-time in spring 1995, while 8,719 were attending part-time; (5) 6,160 students were White, 2,644 were Asian, 2,469 were Hispanic, and 803 were Filipino; (6) 10,412 students were United States citizens, while 2,299 had a permanent Visa; and (7) 10,672 students were high school graduates and 1,367 had a foreign high school or diploma certificate.
