Requirements for Entry to Higher Education in the European Community.
EURYDICE European Unit, Brussels (Belgium).
This report provides information about student mobility within the European Community, and how it is linked to the requirements for entry to higher education. The report is divided into two sections. The first is a brief discussion of the six specific factors studied: (1) entry requirement qualifications and examinations; (2) entry requirement restrictions on admissions; (3) recognition of qualifications and periods of study; (4) language requirements; (5) application and registration procedures for European Community "transfer" students; and (6) immigration and residence formalities. Within each section, tables summarize the text information for each of the countries examined by the report. Four charts summarize selected data. The second section of the report provides detailed information for each of the six factors listed above for each of the reporting countries: Belgium (listing the French and the Flemish communities separately), Denmark, Federal Republic of Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.
