Chapter 2, "Designing Routines for Active Learners," presents articles on work habits, group activities, transition, greeting time, and child-focused caregiving routines for infants and toddlers. Chapter 3, "Arranging Environments for Children," includes articles on open-air learning, art, reading and cross-cultural activities. Chapter 4, "The Family Connection," contains articles on parent-child relationships, home visits, role models, talking with parents about play and learning.
