Focusing on data from 1992 to 1994, this articulation report provides information on students who transferred from one of Florida's 28 community colleges to the State University System (SUS). Following an overview of articulation in Florida and a report summary, 15 tables are provided, presenting information on students' gender, race, age, date of entry into the SUS, semester and cumulative hours of credit transferred, community college of origin, cumulative grade point average (GPA) earned at the university, GPA's earned at the university compared to semester hours earned at the community college, mean cumulative GPA's and standard deviations attained in the SUS, majors, and general performance at the SUS by discipline. Highlighted findings include the following: (1) in fall 1994, there were 76,636 community college transfer students, an increase of over 8% from fall 1992; (2) from 1992-94, White transfer student enrollment decreased by 2.5%, while the percentage of Black, Hispanic, and Asian transfer students increased by 1.3%, 1%, and 0.2% respectively; and (3) in fall 1994, 71.5% of the transfer students earned a GPA of 2.5 or higher while enrolled in the SUS, up from 69.5% in fall 1992.
