Jealousy. Classics in Photostories Series.
Butovsky, Lillian; Creatore, Cheryl
The book presents a story told in photographs, based on a short story "Pelageya" by Mikhail Zoshchenko, a popular Russian writer of the early 20th century. It is designed for use in English-as-a-Second-Language instruction for young adults and adults, and includes instructional materials based on the story designed to encourage communication and develop language skills. An accompanying audiocassette (not included here) offers comprehensible, natural language in a variety of listening activities. An introductory section describes the materials and offers suggested classroom procedures for their use. The instructional materials themselves include the story, comprehension exercises, activities that require varying skills, an opportunity for expanding on the story, practice in dialogue and grammar, games, and listening activities. The transcript of the audiocassette is appended. (MSE) (Adjunct ERIC Clearinghouse on Literacy Education)
