Managing Information Technology as a Catalyst of Change. Track I: Leadership during Times of Change.

Eight papers are presented from the 1993 CAUSE conference track on leadership challenges facing managers of information technology during times of change at colleges and universities. Baxter), which calls for changes in organizational structure, resource allocation, and approaches to academic and administrative tasks; (5) "Leadership and the Changing Role of the Chief Information Officer in Higher Education" (Gary M. Pitkin); (6) "Strategies for Data Management Leadership: Why, Who, What, and How" (Lore A. Balkan and others); (7) "A Model for Change" (William R.
