This book provides an introduction to HyperCard, with the main focus being on communication and problem solving. The book covers most of the main features of HyperCard and includes a very brief introduction to HyperTalk. This book is specifically for people who want to move toward higher levels of HyperCard knowledge and skills. It is designed for use in a short course or workshop on communication and problem solving in a HyperCard environment; additional uses are as a supplementary text that emphasizes communication and problem solving within an extensive course on HyperCard and as a text in inservice and preservice teacher education settings. The book contains activities to help guide individuals through the process of journal writing, using the computer, and obtaining feedback. The book is composed of 11 chapters with appendices on keyboard shortcuts, visual effects, and research on problem solving.
