Oklahoma School Testing Program, Achievement Test Component, 1992 Summary Report.

This report provides an overview of the Oklahoma School Testing Program and summarizes the average achievement scores of students from 1986 through 1992. The Iowa Tests of Basic Skills (ITBS) and the Tests of Achievement and Proficiency (TAP) were administered to students in grades 3, 5, and 7 (ITBS) and 9 and 11 (TAP) in the spring of 1992. Test results indicate that the average student in all five grades is performing at levels equivalent to, or above, the national average in all subject areas. In addition, students tested in 1992 had scores that are equal to, or slightly above, those of students in the same grades in 1991. Thirteen tables and 11 figures in the body of the text present figures about the achievement of Oklahoma students. Nine appendixes contain an additional 354 pages of results in table form, and provide the following information for 1992: (1) state level results; (2) a summary of state results; (3) a list of averages by region for grade 3; (4) averages for grade 5; (5) averages for grade 7; (6) averages for grade 9; (7) averages for grade 11; (8) percent of scores under the normal curve; and (9) a companion document, the "Interpretive Guide--1992" published by Riverside Publishing Company.
