Modelos Interactivos en el Proceso de la Ensenanza y el Aprendizaje en el Nivel Universitario (Interactive Models in the Process of Teaching and Learning at the University Level).
Carrasquillo, Angela; Lopez, Carmen
This article, written in Spanish (with an abstract in English) presents an overview of recommended interactive instructional models at the college level. The first section lists characteristics of a reflective college professor stressing that reflection revolves around the students, the curriculum, the methodology, and the college's overall environment. The second part of the article lists eight principles that are recommended in providing a college curriculum and environment conducive to learning, to reflection, and change. The third section enumerates academic, social, and structural benefits in learning through an interactive model. The article finishes by describing the cooperative learning model noting that through cooperative learning students learn from each other and the professor; that college instruction becomes more interesting and relevant; and that leadership and cooperation become part of the daily life of administrators, professors and students.
