Intended for elementary and middle school reading and learning disability teachers, this book presents easy-to-follow explanations of the various causes of reading disabilities and over 100 reproducible assessment devices, corrective activity sheets, and other aids. The book also includes: case studies of children showing how reading problems are caused by different kinds of factors; a complete individual reading Inventory; step-by-step directions for using oral reading miscue analysis effectively; a description of the contemporary Reading Recovery Program; and specific strategies for use with learning handicapped children.
