Validated Competency Task Lists for Apparel and Accessories Marketing.

Developed by a project that validated task lists by a variety of teachers and apparel marketing business persons, this guide contains task lists for occupations in the field of apparel and accessories marketing. The guide is organized in three sections. Section 1 includes the following: (1) notes on using the information in the guide; (2) a competency task list for developing training plans and instructional materials; (3) a student competency checklist for tracking individual student progress, both in the classroom and on the job; (4) a list of the main tools and equipment used on the job; and (5) a list of some of the ways basic academic skills are used on the job. Section 2 provides the same types of information as the first section, except that in this section the information applies to training stockkeepers in apparel and accessories marketing instead of salespersons. Section 3 provides details on how the competencies were developed and validated and what tools were used in doing so. (KC)
