Marketing Education I. A Two-Semester Course for Marketing Education. Curriculum Guide.
Texas Univ., Austin. Extension Instruction and Materials Center.
This curriculum guide was developed to help teachers use the new and current textbook adopted by Texas in 1991-92 for teaching the two-semester Marketing Education I course. The guide is organized in three sections. The first section contains information on using the guide: overview, sample lesson plans and other worksheets, suggestions for adapting instruction for special needs students, and information on the Texas teacher appraisal system. Section 2 contains the following materials for developing a scope and sequence: a description of the text and supporting materials, correlations of specific essential elements of the curriculum to the text, assignments correlated to essential elements, resource materials, overview of a recommended scope and sequence, and worksheets for planning a scope and sequence. The third section contains instructional planning sheets based on chapters and assignments in the textbook and other sources. Planning sheets include comments on chapters, indicators of chapter content, suggested related materials, content, and assignments. Two appendixes list terms to know and their definitions, correlated to specific essential elements. (KC)
