The entries highlight significant social, political, historical, cultural, and artistic people and events as they have had impact on the United States within the global community. The gender balance for the entries is roughly half male and half female. Each page is illustrated with authentic ethnic motifs. A concise calendar provides one or two entries for each day of the summer months. (SLD)
