This teaching guide was developed to help technical education teachers present courses on computer-assisted drafting (CAD). The guide is aimed at helping students learn to use computers and work with disk operating systems and files at a faster pace. The eight units of instruction include some or all of the following basic components of a unit of instruction: objective sheet, suggested activities for the teacher, answers to assignment sheets, answers to written test, written test, unit evaluation form, teacher supplements, transparency masters, information sheet, assignment sheets, student supplements, and job sheets. Other contents are as follows: information on use of the publication, a competency profile, an instructional review and task analysis, a list of related academic and workplace skills, a list of tools, equipment and materials, and a list of 14 references.
