Career-Development Infusion. A Bibliography.
Florida State Univ., Tallahassee. Center for Instructional Development and Services.
This bibliography addresses the issue of how to infuse career development activities into the academic classroom situation. Thirty-four citations from ERIC and other databases include instructional materials, journal articles, project descriptions, research reports, and teaching guides. A topical outline defines career education and infusion and discusses the rationale for infusion and what infusion involves. Three articles, representative of current wisdom in the field, are reprinted: "Relevance: The Fourth 'R'" (Ruth Sedlik); "Room to Grow: Educating for a Total Life Experience" (S. Theodore Woal); and "A Model for Evaluating Career Education Curriculum Infusion" (G. Brian Jones). The annotated bibliography is divided into six categories: topic overviews, professional preparation, planning for infusion, implementing infusion, evaluating infusion, and project descriptions. Each entry is comprised of these components: title, date, author, developer, availability, annotation, and format. (YLB)
