Educating Homeless Children and Adolescents: Evaluating Policy and Practice.
Stronge, James H., Ed.
One of the more enigmatic issues of contemporary homelessness is that of schooling. This collection highlights issues related to the provision of an education to homeless children and youths. The following 13 chapters are grouped into sections on the educational context, overcoming barriers to education, and access and equity issues: (1) "The Background: History and Problems of Schooling for the Homeless" (J. H. Stronge); (2) "The Legal Context: From Access to Success in Education for Homeless Children and Youth" (V. M.
