This document contains seven tables and graphs that show the extent of tech prep agreements and activities for 1992, the seventh year of the Mt. Hood Regional Cooperative Consortium. The report shows that a strong cooperative relationship has been established between and among the district high schools, the education service district, and the community college. Written articulation agreements exist between the college and each of the seven high school or elementary-secondary districts. At the program level, 71 written articulation agreements have been developed by high school and community college faculty in 15 professional-technical areas ranging from automotive technology to video technology. During 1992, 141 students participated in the very successful Professional-Technical Inter-District Program (PTIP), which expands professional and technical education opportunities for students by opening programs at one school to students at another school on a space-available basis. In the area of applied academics, the Mt. Hood Regional Cooperative Consortium co-sponsored a 2-day regional applied mathematics workshop for high school, community college, and university faculty. In applied communications, a 2-week summer workshop for 12 regional high school English and professional-technical faculty was held, and a new ninth-grade applied communications course was developed during the program. In April 1991, Mt. Hood Community College was honored as one of the top three community colleges in the United States for tech prep associate degree education. The Mt. Hood Community College District was also selected as a National Tech Prep Demonstration Center. The tables and graphs of the report show the following: tech prep articulation agreements; number of students transcripting credit by a 2+2 program, 1987-92; number of students transcripting 2+2 credit by high school 1987-92; number of PTIP student applications by course, 1988-93; 2+2 tech prep student transcripting by program, 1991-92; articulation measures, 1991-92; and professional-technical interdistrict program applications, 1992-93.
