Heelotia: A Cross Cultural Simulation Game. Recommended for Grade 5 to Adult.
Stanford Univ., CA. Stanford Program on International and Cross Cultural Education.
This simulation exercise is designed to provide students at the intermediate and secondary education levels with an experimental or discovery exercise in cross cultural relations. The simulation is designed to be a part of a more extensive study of cultural perceptions and can be used in an exploration or one's own community as well as in more geographically distant cultures. The simulation involves the rules of two imaginary cultures, Heelotia and Hokia. This guide includes information on running the simulation, debriefing students following the exercise, and student handouts. (DB)
