Cooperative Education Student Employee Salary & Benefits Survey, 1991. Midwest Region.
Crusoe, John A., Comp.
This report provides, in chart form, results of a survey of employers of cooperative education students in the Midwest. The statistics and data are intended to provide useful information regarding salaries and benefits paid to cooperative education student employees to cooperative practitioners in the Midwest. A five-page introduction describes the survey, offers conclusions and observations, and provides some notes on chart interpretation. The first two sections offer similar data on Midwest region bachelors degree level and Midwest region associates degree level. These statistics and data are provided: (1) salaries by major; (2) salaries by employer type; (3) benefits by major; (4) salaries by employer type--first work assignment; (5) salaries by employer type--final work assignment; (6) salaries by employer type--new college or community/junior college graduate; and (7) benefits by employer type. The next section consists of Midwest bachelors level regional comparisons: regional versus state salary comparison and 1991 versus 1990 regional salary comparison. A comparative ranking of region versus state benefits follows. State summaries of bachelors level salaries and benefits are charted for Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Missouri, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin, and Ohio. Other contents include a list of additional benefits provided to cooperative education students and a list of colleges and universities supporting the survey. (YLB)
