This document presents tetimony and prepared statements concerning three pieces of legislation which seek to increase early intervention and outreach activities designed to inform students and their families about postsecondary education and student financial assistance options. The legislation provides for technical assistance to guidance counselors, highlights model counseling programs across the country, and ensures dissemination of information on postsecondary educational opportunities.
