Team Teaching Interpersonal Communication.

A study at Prestonsburg Community College (Kentucky) hypothesized that team teaching interpersonal communication could enhance learning for both students and instructors, by providing students with additional expertise and individual contact, and by giving instructors the opportunity to compare teaching methods and alternative exercises. Results indicated that team teaching had a positive effect on the students': (1) examination scores; (2) interpersonal communication skills; (3) motivation; and (4) attitudes toward team teaching in general. Results also demonstrated, however, that some students felt threatened by having two instructors, and were uncertain about their grades due to occasional conflicting feedback on assignments and exams.
