Calvin, Richmond
This glossary of child abuse terms is designed to facilitate clarity and understanding about child abuse. It is the objective of this glossary to provide material that will be valuable to those in the helping professions who are confused by conflicting terminology. The list of terms contained in this glossary consists of items found to be most beneficial to graduate students and professional conference participants. Approximately 150 terms are defined. Terms range from terms used with children such as "bad touch," to terms used with police such as "chickenhawk," to terms used with the judicial system such as "best interest of the child," to terms used by counseling professionals such as "apathy-futility syndrome."
