This document, one of more than 100 performance-based vocational teacher education modules, covers the following objectives as it prepares pre- and inservice teachers to develop long-range program plans: (1) after completing the required reading, demonstrate knowledge of the concepts involved in developing long-range plans for a vocational-technical program; and (2) after completing the required reading, develop a section of a long-range plan for a vocational-technical program. After an introduction, the document contains an explanatory section on the organization of the module, required and optional learning activities, information sheets, student self-check evaluation forms that cover learning activities, model answers for the forms, and a form on which the teacher's performance on the module's terminal objective ("In an actual teaching situation, develop long-range program plans") is to be assessed.
