A collection of creative, imaginative, classroom activity units designed for grades K-4 is presented. Using a multicultural approach, each unit is to be utilized in teaching various subjects such as language arts, mathematics, music, science, social studies, and home economics. Each section includes a source for creative ideas to enhance learning; an activity sheet; an "open-ended ideas" list of approaches; and a cultural activity segment. A brief list of resources for each segment is provided. Examples of the material are: a multicultural mathematics puzzle for children to solve using Egyptian numerals; adding and subtracting problems using the Attic-Greek numerical system; Japanese optical and geometrical art; and a French puzzle using 28 dominoes.
