In this document, which is intended to give high school and college students realistic occupational information, 80 professionals tell what their jobs are like. The information was collected during interviews and is presented in a conversational tone. The professionals work in computer fields, business, hotel and restaurant management, engineering, law, writing, acting, music, directing, journalism, medicine, sports, education, the military, and protective services. In addition to the professionals' comments, each section contains a brief introduction to the profession, current statistics in the field, and a summary of applicable educational requirements. The document also contains a list of organizations that may provide additional career information and a 101-item bibliography arranged by occupation. (CML)
