Based on an 18-month strategic planning process undertaken by Centralia College administrators and support staff, this report reviews the achievements of each of the college's units and divisions in 1988-89 and states their goals for 1989-90. Section I provides highlights of the 1988-89 college year in the areas of college advancement (including the Centralia College Foundation and Office of College Relations), administrative services (including the bookstore, business office, computer and personnel services, and budget and purchasing), instructional programs (including the continuing education and vocational education programs and division chairs), and student services (including alumni services, admissions and counseling, and financial aid). For each division and unit, the report includes a description of mission, staffing, committee involvement, budget, and major accomplishments. Section II outlines six major college goals developed as a result of the planning process and lists the actions taken by each college division and unit to meet those goals. The institutional objectives are: (1) to maintain high standards of instruction; (2) to meet the needs of students through enhanced support services; (3) to develop and market educational programs in response to community needs; (4) to encourage and support professional development of faculty and staff; (5) to promote a positive campus environment; and (6) to provide effective administrative leadership.
