Improving Classroom Behaviour: New Directions for Teachers and Pupils.
Mongon, Denis; And Others
This book is mainly about children whose behavior causes distress and difficulties for teachers in elementary and secondary schools. The authors provide some ideas about how to improve the ability of teachers and pupils to work together constructively, and point out some of the pitfalls on the way. A substantial part of the book is constructed around the authors' collective experience of working in a variety of capacities in primary, secondary, mainstream, and special provision education. Case studies illustrate theories put into practice in the classroom so that the reader can participate in assessing the successes and shortcomings and in judging what lessons or conclusions of general relevance might be learned.
