This bibliography includes both commercially published and locally produced textbooks and workbooks that are currently being used across the United States in foreign language programs for grades 1-6. The materials cited are used by 303 elementary schools that responded to a national survey of elementary school foreign language programs. The texts included in the list are used primarily in foreign language experience (FLEX) and foreign language in the elementary schools (FLES) programs. Materials for teaching Spanish, French, German, Latin, Russian, Chinese, Hebrew, and Ukrainian are included. The textbooks presented are divided by language, and the following information is presented for each textbook: title/author, publisher and publisher's address, and suggested grade level. (DJD)
