World Perspective Case Descriptions on Educational Programs for Adults: Federal Republic of Germany.

This document contains the following case studies of West German adult education projects: (1) Counseling Courses in Agriculture (Bugl, Fehrenbach-Neumann); (2) The State Center for Political Education in Baden-Wurttemberg (Schiele); (3) Catholic Educational Organization Rottweil (Muller); (4) Adult Education Center--Herrenberg (Werner); (5) Program for Vocational and Social Integration for Young Turkish Women (Meyder); (6) Professional Training for Medical Specialists (Renschler); (7) Inservice Training for Professionals in the Robert Bosch Corporation (Kilgenstein); (8) Courses by Radio: Case Description of an Open Academic Program for Adults (Schmoock); (9) Continuing Education at the University of Tubingen (Funke); (10) Evening High School Adult Education Center of Reutlingen (Taigel); (11) Center for Continuing Vocational Training Chamber of Industry and Trade (Augsberg and Schwaben Region) (Esmann and Bihler); (12) Continuing Education in Training Companies (Eisenmann); (13) Human Resources and Organizational Development at the Berlin Power and Light Corporation (Guthrie); and (14) Women's Museum Wiesbaden: For a New Cultural-Political Education (Engels and Klein). Each study begins with a "face sheet" on which is recorded basic information about the entity studied and the case study itself. The studies typically describe the setting of the case program; its outcomes (goals and benefits); process (participants, planning, and improvement); inputs into the process (staff, and finances); and history or evolution. In addition to the case descriptions, this document includes information on the World Perspective case study project, indexes of all cases by country and by category, and guidelines for contributors.
