Oregon Office of Community College Services: Profile, 1987-88.
Oregon State Dept. of Education, Salem. Office of Community Coll. Services.
A profile is provided of the 16 Oregon community colleges and their services for the academic year 1987-88. First, a directory is presented of the address, phone number, and chief administrative officer of each college. The next section focuses on the colleges' students, providing numerous tables on full-time equivalent students (FTE) by program and institution; unduplicated headcount by program; percentage distribution of headcounts and FTE by program; the change in FTE from 1986-87 by institution and program; system-wide headcount by gender, age, county of residence, and racial/ethnic distribution; and public high school graduates in the college districts. Information is then provided on faculty and staff, such as full-/part-time status, gender, salaries, and racial/ethnic distribution. Next, tables are presented on financial data, including general fund operating revenues and expenditures; special fund revenues and expenditures; operating expenditures by program; costs per FTE; property taxes; tuition rates; and financial aid expenditures. Three tables are then provided on the system's facilities, including inventories of the total available area, the total square footage, and optimum stations (total facility required to accommodate one person at a given time). Finally, information is provided on programs and services, including data on libraries; general education development; contracted out-of-district FTE, associated costs, and resources; and developmental education FTE, headcount by age, and headcount by race. Brief glossaries are included at the beginning of each section. (JMC)
