Trends in Enrollment and Degrees Granted, 1948-1988. Office of Institutional Research Report No. 7-89.
State Univ. of New York, Albany. Central Staff Office of Institutional Research.
A series of tables covering 40-year trends in enrollment and degrees granted in the State University of New York (SUNY) system is divided into two major sections, Credit Course Enrollment (Headcount) and Degrees Granted. The Credit Course Enrollment section provides headcount enrollment data for the individual institutions and institutional types of the State University as well as system-wide data. The enrollment data is for the fall term of each year and is arrayed by student load (full-time and part-time) and student level (undergraduate and graduate). Data in the Degrees Granted section are also provided for the State University system as a whole, as well as for individual institutions and institutional types. Unlike the enrollment data, which is point-in-time data, the degrees-granted information covers all degrees awarded over a 12-month period. Data in this section are provided separately for Associate, Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral and First-Professional degrees. In interpreting the data, the user is cautioned to take into account the changes in the numbers of institutions comprising SUNY. The following are appended: a map of SUNY institutions, a chronology of dates of establishment of SUNY institutions, and a publications list. (KM)
