This book provides detailed up-to-date information about sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), chlamydia, herpes, syphilis, genital warts, and gonorrhea. The book: (1) discusses the symptoms and consequences of STDs; (2) promotes abstinence as the best preventive behavior for teens; (3) presents steps for reinforcing abstinent behaviors; (4) provides information on the correct use of condoms; and (5) offers sources for obtaining information, diagnosis, and treatment of STDs.
