Intended for teachers and prospective teachers, the purpose of this book is to provide information about reading instruction from kindergarten through the elementary grades. "Reading and Writing" is the subject of Part 5, which chapter (15) titled "Reading-Writing Connections." Part 6 covers "Student's Instructional Needs," including chapters on (16) Assessing Instructional Needs; and (17) Organizing for Instructional Needs.
