Los Medanos College Fact Book.
MacDonald, Ross; And Others
Prepared to support the self-study and strategic planning processes at Los Medanos College (LMC), in Pittsburgh, California, this fact book offers information about LMC's students, staff, programs, services, facilities, and expenditures. The first section focuses on the student population, including a trend analysis and longitudinal data on ethnicity, gender, enrollment status (i.e., returning, continuing or first-time), student class level, course load, day/evening enrollment, gender enrollment patterns, and grade distribution. For the most part, data are reported for the three-year intervals of 1974, 1977, 1980, 1983, and 1986. After presenting information on the ethnicity, gender, age, and years of services of LMC's staff, the report examines student usage of counseling, placement, and financial aid services at the college. Following a brief inventory of facilities and equipment, college finances are examined in terms of average daily attendance figures, and general fund, capital projects, and unrestricted general fund expenditures. Throughout the report, a series of graphs/charts alternate with pages of explanatory text. (AYC)
