Learning through Communication. Teacher's Manual.
This guide is intended to inform school districts about the Learning through Communication Program. The goals of the program are (1) to prevent summer loss of reading skills for Chapter 1 and learning disabled students in grades one and two; (2) to involve parents in the learning process of their child; and (3) to increase the child's ability and desire to respond with written communication and to see the positive value of written language in his/her young life. The guide contains 35 pages of illustrated art projects. Three evaluation charts (Sucher-Allred Reading Placement Test scores); a parent's handbook with directions, samples, checklists, and a questionnaire, all related to how to use the packet; and a note on the table of contents are attached.
