Northwest Regional Educational Lab., Portland, OR. Education and Work Program.; Northwest Regional Educational Lab., Portland, OR. Center for Sex Equity.
This workbook for students is one of three products that make up a complete mentorship program. The purpose of the program is to increase the motivation of minority young women to pursue occupations and careers that will be in demand in the future. Intended to complement the activities described in the ideabook for mentors, the workbook contains information, activities, and questions for students to consider. Section I is introductory and focuses on the reasons for keeping a journal, what a mentor is, and work attitudes. Section II suggests questions to ask the mentor. Section III provides questions that will make the student think about how she can handle herself in a variety of situations. Section IV contains questions that concern the student's attitudes and assessment of the mentorship experience. (YLB)
