This manual provides the policies and procedures for an individualized diploma program that offers adults an alternative approach toward earning a high school diploma. It presents information on time and location, eligibility, diploma requirements, admission to the program (student intake), resources, and a flowchart showing pathways to a diploma. Detailed descriptions are provided of each of the four categories in which a student may receive credit: academic, military experience and/or training, occupational experience and/or training, and specialized skills. Options within each category, conditions, and assessment and documentation are considered. Other sections discuss staff and recordkeeping. Appendixes contain these forms: student intake records, credit documentation forms, and independent study project forms. (YLB)
