Among the topics covered are: (1) the nature of thinking and learning; (2) the possibilities of teaching general reasoning; (3) the attempts to improve intelligence; (4) thinking skills in academic disciplines; (5) methods of cultivating the disposition toward higher order thinking and learning; and (6) the integral role motivation plays in these activities.
