This curriculum guide, which combines the curriculum for three marketing related clusters, is intended to serve the employment needs of students at the secondary, postsecondary, or adult level. The guide is designed to assist teachers in using competency-based curriculum guides. Information on using the guide is followed by the master listing and matrix of marketing education competencies and tasks. Tasks are organized into 16 areas: employability, communications, mathematics, social skills, economics, marketing foundations, management foundations, product and service planning, distribution, purchasing, pricing, selling, promotion, marketing information management, finance, and risk. This information is provided for each task: competency and task; performance objective (conditions, evaluation, and standard); a listing of student learning experiences; suggested instructional techniques; instructional equipment, materials, and supplies; and list of resources. An annotated bibliography concludes the guide. (YLB)
