A study was conducted by the Maricopa Community College District's (MCCD's) Office of Resource Development to develop a database that would support the needs of district colleges for a systematic plan to identify, locate, interest, involve, and garner civic and financial support from former students. A questionnaire was sent to 12,319 identified MCCD alumni, requesting information on alumni characteristics, the opportunities and services the alumni would like the colleges to provide, and willingness to volunteer for various college support activities.
