Report on Salaries of Administrative Nursing Faculty, Excluding Deans, in Colleges and Universities. Institutional Data Series 86-4.
Redman, Barbara K.; Pillar, Barbara
Results of a 1985-1986 salary survey of 515 administrative faculty in baccalaureate and graduate nursing programs are presented. A total of 383 American Association of Colleges of Nursing member schools were surveyed; 177 returned a completed questionnaire. All salary tables supply figures on both an academic and calendar year basis. When there are sufficient numbers of administrative faculty in a group, data are presented for the 10th, 25th, 50th, 75th, and 90th percentile salaries. The number of individuals in each group is also shown with the percentile statistics. Using the percentile format, salaries are presented for eight administrative faculty titles. In addition to data for all schools, salary tables are presented by region, institutional control, and size of faculty. Separate tables show the titles and salaries of continuing education faculty. Matrix tables present data on administrative faculty by degree level and academic rank for the four titles of associate dean, assistant dean, chairman, and director. Data are provided for the number of individuals in each category, and for salaries at the mean and 25th, 50th, and 75th percentile. Appendices include questionnaires and a list of participating schools by region. (SW)
