This annotated bibliography is a listing of 286 papers and journal articles on human relations in public education published between 1982 and 1986. Nearly 50 entries concern the principal's role as manager and instructional leader. Another 50 address teacher supervision and evaluation, while 30 others treat teacher burnout, stress, morale, and other working conditions. Over 35 listings address classroom management, student discipline, and teacher-student relations. Almost 25 entries are devoted to administrator-teacher communication issues, and 12 to the superintendent-school board relationship. School effectiveness and improvement concerns are addressed in over 20 entries, and staff development and competency issues are discussed in 23 entries. Of the remaining entries, most are devoted to general management techniques, collective bargaining and labor relations in schools, and various personnel management functions. (MLH)
