The worksheets contained in this bulletin are designed for use in conjunction with the teaching strategies for Theme IV entitled, "Developing Democratic and Nationalist Movements Have Had an Effect Around the World." The worksheets correspond to specific strategies with accompanying questions on the appropriate strategy page. Included are suggested student activities for the four subthemes: (1) The Roots of British Democracy; (2) The Concept of Natural Law Was Manifested in the Enlightenment; (3) The French Revolution Was Influenced by External as well as Internal Forces and Had an Impact throughout the World; and (4) The Impact of Nationalism Has Been Profound and Global in Nature. In order to sensitize students to the existence of a shared cultural legacy, the Global Cultural Bank activity is included. This may be used as the culmination exercise for each subtheme. (KWL)
