Dreaming of the Future. J. B. Nash Scholar Lecture.
Bannon, Joseph J.
In a discussion of the implications of future trends on the profession of leisure and recreation services, consideration is given to possible world developments, both catastrophic and benign. Proposals and suggestions are made for improving leisure services, including the involvement of educators in political action and increased research and evaluation of human behavior in leisure settings. It is pointed out that since financial resources for leisure and recreation will probably shrink, imaginative planning and use of present and future resources will be essential. (JD)
