Women's Studies: Potentialities and Implications. Bibliography: Women's Studies Overview.
Laurel, Jeanne P., Comp.
The amount of information available in women's studies has increased dramatically over the past two decades. Therefore, it was necessary to be selective in developing this brief bibliography of texts and local resources which should be viewed as a starting point and not as a definitive compilation. Entries were chosen both for their significance in each field and for their usefulness in the classroom--as well as with an eye to price and accessibility. The annotations include quantitative information as well as address, phone, contact person, frequency of publication in the case of periodicals and source's business hours, when relevant. The items are grouped under the following headings: Audio-Visual (films, videos, sound recordings), Bibliographies (includes teaching guides and sources to find more sources), Books (single-author texts), Collections (essays and documents, generally reprinted from other sources), Journals (selected periodicals), and Places (local resources for more information or materials).
