This paper is the fourth of a series of working papers developed by a project which conducted a cooperative study of existing student study team (SST) processes in nine California special education local plan areas. The working papers augment the final report by providing detailed descriptions of the methods used and the preliminary findings. This paper presents participant response totals and comments of 219 school level respondents on the survey of student study team participants. Results are grouped into three sections: responses to the survey of student study team participants, comments made by respondents to the survey, and school level responses to the survey. It should be noted that in the preliminary findings and final report, the school response was the unit of interest. A decision rule was used in which a school response to an item or a sub-item was judged present when 50% or more of the respondents at that school checked a particular response. For each question, the number of respondents answering positively or a list of comments is given for each survey section (e.g., SST purposes, processes, resources, and factors supporting effective team processes).
