This instructional manual consists of 11 competency-based units for a mathematics course for trade and industrial programs in Texas. Each instructional unit includes the following basic components: unit and specific objectives, notes to the instructor (outline of steps to follow in accomplishing specific objectives), information sheets, transparency masters, activity sheets, pre/post and unit tests, and answers to the activities and tests. Each unit is planned to cover more than one lesson or period of instruction. Unit topics are numeration, adding whole numbers, subtracting whole numbers, multiplying whole numbers, dividing whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, measurement, time and pay, and making change.
