The problems associated with acid rain as well as strategies on what to do and how to do it are addressed in this resource guide. The first section identifies and describes the U.S. agencies and congressional committees which play a role in acid rain research, legislation, and regulation. Actions already taken by the executive and legislative branches of the government as well as efforts of the National Governors Association are presented. The second section of this document includes a 4-page bibliography of government documents dealing with federal policies and a 14-page bibliography of commercial publications on acidification. Also listed is a directory of nine organizations which provide information on acid rain. (ML)
